pMinimap is a very lightweight and streamlined Minimap addon.
It has a little bunch of ingame options, but if you really would like to fine-tune the smallest things, you'd have to go through lua.

My sole purpose of this addon is to have a lightweight and streamlined minimap addon, with a nice bunch of features.
One of the things Ive been doing with this one is to try and re-use as much of blizzard's work that already has been loaded.
A rather new goal of mine is to have many of the optional stuff LoD (Load on Demand) to use as little resources as possible.

Features:
  • Square Minimap shape without a custom mask texture
  • Hides art, zone text and many buttons
  • Tracking and BG buttons repolished and moved
  • Mail notification by text (optional)
  • Zone tooltip on mouseover (optional)
  • Modifies the clock (optional) (LoD)
    • Changes the font of the clock
    • Removes the background and the flash texture
    • Left-Click the clock to open alarm settings
    • Right-Click the clock to open calendar
  • Adds a coord block (optional) (LoD)
    • Coords hides if in instance
  • Mousewheel zoom by hovering Minimap and scrolling
  • Added backdrop to give a very good looking finish (optional)
  • Backdrop recoloring by durability (optional) (LoD)
  • Lets you customize the Minimap ingame
  • Slash command handler
    • /pminimap or /pmm top open options (LoD)
    • /pminimap reset to wipe out savedvariables
    • /pminimap refresh to fix issues with minimap mask
